The Gigi - A Mermaid Houseboat on Lake James

So much fun! We would definitely recommend and we plan on going back!

The family and I had a great weekend on the lake in this boat. For two kids and two adults it is a bit small, but we were staying with friends camping in the national forest which was perfect as we used the boat as a big tent you could ride around on and swim while cooking burgers.

My wife and I are local to the area and wanted to get out and enjoy the lake on a kid free weekend. We enjoyed our time on the houseboat and hope to do it again. John and his team were great hosts and made the outing extremely easy for us. Thank you for a great experience!

We rented Gigi late mid-March. This was our first experience on a house boat and we absolutely loved it! The lake is just beautiful, and the boat was very responsive and comfortable with no issues whatsoever. It’s well stocked with every little thing you might need. Once moored, we grilled some salmon on the small grill and also heated up other food we brought with us (also brought sheets of foil), and made coffee in the morning. John was always a phone call away, and we don’t have a single negative thing to say! Absolutely a magical trip!!!
